Morning Osteopathy provides treatments session to Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) entitled persons who hold either a Gold Card or White Card.

DVA
DVA entitled persons have access to many allied health services including osteopaths for the treatment of some illnesses especially those that related to musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments). Osteopaths can help veterans alleviate pain, improve physical movement, strengthen muscle and bone, improve proprioception, balance and coordination, and regulate their nervous system.
Retired veterans may have either a DVA Gold Card or White Card which can be used to access osteopathic services, A GP referral is needed and an agreement is established between the GP and osteopath where the recipient can access up to 12 sessions across a 12 month period. Although there are differences between what each card entitles the holder outside of health services, both White Card and Gold Card holders can receive the same standard of osteopathic treatment with no financial cost to the veteran. Other cards such as Pensioner Cards or Orange Cards must pay for osteopathy treatments privately. There is a limit on the number of different allied health services someone may access for any single condition or on an individual day.
